This is a 5-CD collection of previously virtually unknown early music by ABBA.

Collector's Item. This 5-CDs set is released in Europe by RMG Records as a limited edition. The catalog number is CDP 7254.

These CDs are original, factory-pressed and sealed.

Beginning with 1990, when a collection of the Best Hits by ABBA triumphantly rose to the top of the charts all around the world, the albums of this group have been published and republished at least three times. Pretty much every year a new, "remastered" edition would hit the stores. In reality, such editions would differ from the previous ones only by one track or two.

Meanwhile, a large part of the group's work was left unexplored by the music labels. These are the recordings made for the Swedish audience before the recording of the famous album Waterloo (1973).

This Collection, ABBA - The Early Years, published by RMG Records, is called upon to erase the white spot in the discography of the group by introducing ABBA's fans with all of the "unknown hits" of the group.

CD 1 Bjorn Ulvaeus & Benny Andersson - Lycka (1970)
Lycka is the début album of this group.  Even though this Swedish album is named only after the "male part" of the quartet, both Anni-Frid and Agnetha took part in recording a number of the compositions.  This album, Lycka, was published on CD just once in mid-'90s and is presently inaccessible by most music lovers.  As a bonus, this CD contains tracks composed by Bjorn Ulvaeus - a future member of ABBA, who was performing with a folk group named Hootеnanny Singers till the late 1960s.

CD 2 Agnetha Faltskog - Agnetha / Agnetha Vol. 2 (1968-1969)
Agnetha and Agnetha Vol. 2 are the début albums of Agnetha Faltskog. These albums are recorded in Swedish.

CDs 3-4 Anni-Frid Lyngstad - Frida 1967-1972 (1967-1972)
This 2-CD anthology contains all Anni-Frid Lyngstad's (Frida's) recordings that were made before the commencement of the joint sessions with ABBA as well as the ones that were made in the first years of her work with the group. Bjorn and Benny participated in recording of some of the tracks. Like Agnetha's anthology, a small number of this period's Frida's recordings were published in Sweden by a small company, Royal Records. As the company went out of business, the recordings disappeared from the store shelves.

CD 5 ABBA - Ring Ring
Ring Ring is ABBA's first English-language album. It concludes this anthology The Early Years. Besides the 12 original tracks, the CD includes 9 more "bonus" compositions, including all four European variants of Ring Ring single and a 1972 single Merry Go Round/Santa Rosa.
